I am a fine art photographer living in Athens, Georgia, working primarily in the "alternative processes" invented in the 19th century, specifically Vandyke Brown and Ware Cyanotype. I am formally-trained as a PhD environmental chemist that is now on an artistic journey asking fundamental questions about racial and economic disparity, mental illness, queer representation, and hoping to bring attention to those living on the fringe of society. I express my work through traditional black and white photographic darkroom processes printed onto atypical substrates like newspapers, instruction manuals, etc. using "alt process" techniques to add further context.
